Planning Committee: We meet the first Saturday of every month from 10:00 to noon in an organizing committee member's home.

Clean-up: We meet every second Saturday of the month from 1:00 - 3:00 PM on the steps.

Fixing steps: The City/County of San Francisco Department of Public Works have agreed to fix the top of the steps. We will post when this is accomplished.

Plantings: The city owns the steps and the right-of-way beside them. We hope to plant native, drought-resistent and hill-holding plants during our monthly clean-ups. We are looking for plant donations. Please click on Planting to see what we need.

Financial goal: We have a budget of $300,000. We raise cash through donations, corporate grants, and in-kind services. We already have received in-kind services of a tree-trimming service which spent a morning pruning branches to open the steps and reduce leaves and moss on the steps. The city has also agreed to fix the steps.

Donation of tiles and elements: As of mid-October 2011, we have raised over $55,000 in cash in individual tiles, elements and other donations. This includes a memorial for a deceased neighbor, 4 elements (dragonfly, Mission butterfly, Diablo Fairy Lantern, and California Poppy), 8 $1000 tiles ($8,000), 19 $350 tiles ($6,650) and 63 $150 tiles ($9,450).

Volunteers: We can use the talents and resources of everyone. Please click on Volunteers to see what we need.
